Humans could also contract salmonella by handling the tainted pet food and treats.

The dry foods and treats recalled contain the expiration date prior to and including March 24, 2014. The products are sold through veterinary clinics and select pet specialty retailers in Canada, Hong Kong, Korea, Japan , Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Costa Rica as well as online.

Natura Pet Products said that their wet pet foods and biscuits were not affected and not a part of this recall.
