Probiotic action starts early in liquid-feed pigs

The action of probiotics is commonly assumed to occur in the gastrointestinal tract rather than in the feed. However, the development of liquid feeding systems for pigs has attracted attention in recent years, as probiotic activity can begin even before feed is ingested.
