Russian group of companies RusAgro, one of the largest pork producers in the country, is currently negotiating with ‘Moscow Endocrine Plant’ on the creation of the joint enterprise for the production of ingredients for medicated feed as well as medicinal products for human use, according to the representatives of the company.

“We are in consultation with the Moscow Endocrine Plant. We are interested in this project,” said CEO of RusAgro Maxim Basov.

According to Basov this project will let the company focus on scientific studies in the area of biotechnology, aquaculture and production of specialty fats. “These areas are among the fastest growing in the world,” he explained.

The new enterprise the launching of which is scheduled for the beginning of 2018 will produce pharmaceutical substances from animal raw materials required for the manufacture of a variety of drugs including the drugs from the list of vital and essential drugs (VED).
