By the end of 2014 Ukrlandfarming plans to begin construction of a premix plant in Kherson Oblast of Ukraine, local media RBC-Ukraine has reported.

“A premix plant, which will produce premixes for all the company’s animal feed mills, will be constructed in Kherson Oblast. We’ve already selected a building site. Hopefully winter won’t be so cold in Kherson Oblast and we will be able to begin construction already by the end of the year,” said the director of the group of companies ULF Galina Kovtok.

The representatives of the company didn’t disclose the planned capacity or investment amount of the project, saying only that it will fully cover the demand of the company’s farms for premixes.

The company continues development despite the complicated situation in the country’s economy. For instance, Ukrlandfarming has recently put into operation a new grain storage in Radchitsy village of Ovruchsky district of Zhytomyr Oblast.

Ukrlandfarming is one of the largest beef producers in Ukraine with the total share of the domestic market of 15.7% and the annual volume of production 18,900 tonnes. The sister company is Avangard – one of the largest in the world eggs producers.
