Alltech successfully defends mycotoxin binding technology

Alltech has successfully defended its technology and innovation on mycotoxin inactivation for another eight years.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office confirmed the validity of US Patent No. 6,045,834 C1, which pertains to Alltech’s unique composition for binding and inactivating mycotoxins in animal feed, as well as the process for forming the main ingredient. The patent will remain in place through April 16, 2019.
 
Alltech’s mycotoxin innovation has a proven scientific backbone that includes eight patents and 52 peer-reviewed papers. An additional 17 PhDs and 19 Master’s have been completed through 14 years of research on the technology.
 
The company also recently debuted KnowMycotoxins.com, its redesigned web site to help time-strapped industry professionals overcome mycotoxin challenges.
 
Available in six languages, the site includes up-to-date information on mycotoxin regulations and provides an opportunity to interact directly with global mycotoxin specialists.
 
Additionally, the site delivers mycotoxin training complemented by an interactive series of videos highlighting the different mycotoxins hotspots at the farm level. These videos are also available on the YouTube channel “KnowMycotoxins Videos."
