13-09-2007 | |

Cargill Inc. has appointed CEO Gregory Page as its Chairman.

Minnetonka-based Cargill said its board of directors elected Page, 56, CEO
and chairman of the board, effective Sept. 11.

Page has been president
and COO since June 2000, and CEO since Warren Staley, 65, retired earlier this
summer.

He joined the company in 1974 and has had a number of jobs
including stints in Singapore, Thailand and the United States. He has a
bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of North Dakota in Grand
Forks.

Page succeeds Warren Staley who announced in February he’d retire
after reaching the mandatory retirement age of 65.

Cargill, a global
agriculture and trading and food processing giant, has about 150,000
employees.
