The EuroTier 2018 attracted 155,000 visitors from more than 130 countries. The success of the show made the organisers decide to organise EuroTier in other parts of the world as well.
“With 2,597 exhibitors and 155,000 visitors, including 46,500 from outside Germany, EuroTier 2018 demonstrated its importance as the world’s leading trade fair for animal production,” said Dr Reinhard Grandke, CEO of DLG (German Agricultural Society). Dr Grandke addressed that the proportion of visitors from outside Europe increased significantly. Registered visitor numbers from North and South America, and the Middle and Far East were higher than ever before.
The organisers of EuroTier, the German Agricultural Society (DLG) revealed last week that the show shall also make a presence in various other regions, i.e. China, South America and the Middle East. All new exhibitions will be named ‘EuroTier’, despite being held in different continents. Of each show, the 1st edition shall be held in 2019. For the organisation, the DLG will be working with local partners. In choosing the locations, the organising DLG decided to use a similar approach as the VIV livestock shows, which have had their shows in the Middle East and China for a few years.
