FAO in search for promising animal nutrition technologies

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) invites PhD students and young researchers from developing countries to participate in a video competition with the objective to share information on promising animal nutrition technologies that will contribute to improved feeding of livestock.

The PhD students and young researchers should be below the age of 35 years and working in the area of animal nutrition (ruminant and monogastric animals).

They are asked to participate in a video competition with the objective to share information on promising animal nutrition technologies or interventions that will contribute to improved feeding of livestock. In so doing FAO wishes to promote research focusing on the needs of smallholder farmers, enhance South-South knowledge exchange and transfer, and facilitate identification of technologies and interventions that have potential for replication and upscaling.

The winner gets a first prize certificate and US$600. The second prize (three in total) entails a second prize certificate and US$ 400. For the third prize (five in total), each winner gets third prize certificate and US$300.

The videos will be judged by an independent panel of experts. The prize winning videos will be placed on the FAO website. Some other high scoring videos may also be placed on the FAO website.

More information (and how to participate) can be found here.
