India: Dairy firm builds Asia’s largest cattle feed plant
Banas dairy has built a cattle feed plant in the Banaskantha district which has a capacity of 1,000 tonnes of feed per day, making it the largest in Asia.
The project cost in the region of US$30 million (Rs 140 crore) and was built to allow Banas dairy to become self-sufficient with regard to feeding their cattle.
The plant will also provide feed to other local companies. The plant was officially opening earlier this month.
