Pavo opens new mill in Pinto, Spain

Early this month Pavo officially opened its new factory in Pinto (Madrid area, Spain). With some €2 million spent, this means a major investment to mark Pavo as the major European brand of feed and supplements for horses.

Pavo is a Nanta (Nutreco) subsidiary and Nanta General director Gerd Botter discussed the importance of positioning Pavo in the European market.
 
Pavo is the leading brand of horse feeds in Central Europe. Headquartered in the Netherlands, it has a presence in over 20 countries in the Europe and markets more than 150,000 tons per year of feed and supplements for horses.
 
Nanta is the animal feed company in Spain and Portugal belonging to Nutreco. It has a major market share in the manufacture and marketing of compound feed on the Iberian Peninsula and its portfolio contains more than 200 product lines, aimed at various animal species. Nanta is also present in the market for pet food.
 
Currently there are 22 feed mills and an extensive distribution network throughout the peninsula, and has its own its own R&D department. Nanta has an annual turnover exceeding €850 million and generates employs over 1,000 people.
