Russia reported a sharp drop in the production of protein-and-vitamin supplements for compound feed production last year, reported Russian media Soya News.
Production dropped to 143,982 tonnes, about a third when compared with 2013 (221,058 tonnes). The volume of production was low during last year with only a temporary hike in the fourth quarter.
At the same time, in January 2015, Russia produced 12.900 tonnes of protein-vitamin supplements that is 21.8% less than in the previous month but 23.9% more than in January 2014.
Experts say that the prospect for the development of Russian protein-and-vitamin supplements for compound feed production are rather unclear this year.
