Mikhailovsky Broiler, one of the largest poultry producers in Far East Russia, has begun construction of a new feed mill.
According to reports, the new enterprise is to produce three railroad carts or 210 tonnes of broiler feed per day to feed its own poultry stock. Recently the Mikhailovsky Broiler has experienced a deficit in feed resources and was forced to buy some extra feed.
The new feed mill will replace the feed mill built in 2006. The company’s meat production has more than doubled since then, so the old feed mill no longer meets the needs of the company.
Deputy Director General of factory farming at Mikhailovsky Broiler, Oleg Mamaev, said that once the new feed mill is complete the capacity will be 25 tonnes per hour.
All raw materials for feed produced will be bought domestically. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2013 and will fully meet the demands of the Mikhailovsky Broiler in the high-quality feed.
