UkrLandFarming laid down the first stone for their new feed mill at the Rohatyn site in Ivano-Frankivsk Region of Ukraine, reported the press-service of the company.
The ceremony was attended by the heads of regions and districts, as well as from the company itself. Construction on the Rohatyn feed mill is expected to be completed by the end of 2014. The company says, the feed mill will produce 20 tonnes of feed per hour and that it will employ approximately 100 local residents.
A similar project is intended to be implemented in the Chercask Region of Ukraine. Here they are going to construct a feed mill with a grain storage capacity of 400,000 tonnes of grain. The total investment in the Ivano-Frankivsk project has not yet been announced, while the investment in the Chercask project will be US$150mln.
According to the representatives of the company the largest part of feed from new mills will go to meet the own needs of the company. UkrLandFarming is the largest domestic agro-industrial holding company in the Ukraine and its structure is including the Avangard Company that currently accounts for 50% of all egg production in the country.
