One of the largest agricultural holding in Ukraine, Ukrlandfarming, has recently started the construction of a large feed mill near the city of Rohatyn of Ivano-Frankivsk Region concreter, according to reports by local media, Ukragroconsult.
According to the plans the new feed mill will produce 20 tonnes of feed per hour, and have grain storage facilities with the capacity of 100,000 tonnes. Construction of the project will begin this year and is to be completed in 2014 – before the new harvest.
The new complex is part of 12 similar projects implemented by private joint stock company (PJSC) Ukrlandfarming throughout Ukraine. Their total capacity of simultaneous grain storages should be – 2 million tonnes of grain while the total capacity of all 12 feed mills according to the current plans should be 1.9 mln tonnes of feed.
According to Galina Kovtok the director of Ukrlandfarminga, the new feed mill will produce feed for 20 different recipes for poultry, pigs and cattle. She added that the investment for the project is about US$50-60 mln. The largest part of the production of the new feed mill will be for sale in the Ukrainian market, while some may go for export.
