World Dairy Expo: Jersey Venus named Supreme Champion

TJ Classic Minister Venus was awarded the title of Supreme Champion of the 2014 World Dairy Expo. The Jersey is owned by Nic, Jeni, Ben and Andy Sauder of Tremont, Ill.

Venus was the first place Four-Year-Old and Senior and Grand Champion of the 2014 International Jersey Show.  Prior to Expo, Venus was awarded Intermediate Champion and Reserve Grand Champion at the All-American Jersey Show in 2013, and is classified Excellent-93.

As Supreme Champion, Venus is awarded the Gregory Blaska Memorial Trophy, US$1,500 cash award courtesy of BouMatic, a royal blanket sponsored by AgPro, Inc. and a director’s chair courtesy of International Protein Sires.

RF Goldwyn Hailey was awarded Reserve Supreme Champion of the 2014 World Dairy Expo. Hailey is owned by Gen-Com Holstein Ltd of Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil, Quebec. She was the winning cow in the Six-Year-Old & Older class and Reserve Grand and Reserve Senior Champion of the 2014 International Holstein Show.

Hailey is no stranger to the coloured shavings; she was also awarded Supreme Grand Champion at the 2012 World Dairy Expo.

Hailey is classified Excellent-97. As Reserve Supreme Champion, Hailey received a royal blanket courtesy of E-Zee Milking Equipment, LLC, US$1,000 cash award sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, and a director’s chair courtesy of Joe and Patti Schluter.
