AFIA announces Import & Export Seminar

07-05-2010 | |

The American Feed Industry Association will hold its first-ever Import & Export Seminar at the Arlington Court Suites Hotel in Arlington, Va., Sept. 27-28, 2010.

The event is aimed at feed, ingredient and pet food professionals responsible for the imports or exports of agricultural products.

The task of completing imports and exports of feed, ingredients and pet foods is often an unclear path, and disruptions can cost time, money and customer loyalty.

Because the process isn’t straightforward, AFIA has developed this educational program to provide details about available resources and what to do in specific scenarios. Regional trade updates and a question-and-answer session are also scheduled.

Speakers will be from the Office of the United States Trade Representative (Executive Office of the President), the Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Foreign Agricultural Service and the Food and Drug Administration.

The experts will educate attendees on options for completing regulatory trade requirements for feed, ingredients and pet foods.
