Apple co-founder Steve Woznia receives the Alltech Humanitarian Award and Medal of Excellence

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and former president and CEO of Ford Motor Company Alan Mulally received the Alltech Humanitarian Award and Medal of Excellence, respectively, at ONE: The Alltech Ideas Conference.

The event was held in Lexington, Ky., USA, from May 22-25. Now in its 32nd year, the annual international conference draw over 3,000 attendees from 71 countries to network and discuss world-changing ideas about business, science and agriculture.

The Humanitarian Award is bestowed annually to someone of strong character, who uses their accomplishments to positively influence and inspire other people. For his dedication to inspiring innovation through education and for creating one of the world’s most peaceful revolutions through Apple technology, Alltech honoured Wozniak during ONE, where he gave a talk on entrepreneurship as well as how to grasp opportunities and change the world.

Alan Mulally is the recipient of the Alltech 2016 Medal of Excellence for his ability to create a strong team focused on a single objective that led to the resurrection of one of the all-time great brands: Ford. The Medal of Excellence is Alltech’s highest distinction, awarded annually to someone of great achievement and character. Previous honourees include former U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell and agricultural leaders such as Norman Borlaug, the “father of the Green Revolution.”
