Cargill Ltd. plans to close its grain operations in Humboldt, Sask. at the end of the month.
Cargill will continue to provide customer service at the existing

sampling/moisture testing and the issuance of grain checks. The company will use
existing operations in Clavet, Sask. “to ensure a seamless transition in
supporting local farm customers’ needs.”
“The decision for Humboldt came
after serious consideration as to how to best provide our valued farmers with
the diverse and timely services and products they need in the management of
their business,” Blaine Duncan, manager of Cargill’s Prairieland farm service
group, said in a release.
