Production plants of De Heus have been churning out more than 3.03 million tonnes of complete feed in 2009.
In The Netherlands production grew by almost 2,2% to 1.91 million tonnes. All relevant markets have had a positive contribution to the groups results. The growth has been realised mainly by autonomous growth.
This growth has resulted in several record months for De Heus, in terms of production output. October 2009 was a record month, which was then exceeded by December 2009.
Autonomous growth
The continuous focus on growth will help De Heus to realise its autonomous growth ambitions for 2010 and beyond.
The establishment of newly built or acquired capacity in South Africa (1), Vietnam (2), Czech Republic (1) Russia (1) and Ethiopia (1) in 2009 will be important in realising these ambitions.
There will also be continuing efforts to improve performance in current markets like Poland and the Netherlands.
