Delacon opens office in Russia

31-05-2010 | |

Delacon Phytogenic Feed Additives has opened its newest subsidiary company in Moscow, Russia.

“Delacon has worked intensively over the last three years to build the foundations for our Russian business”, say Delacon CEOs Helmut and Markus Dedl.

“The Russian market is very different from other markets, and we have adapted our entry strategy to be able to work there successfully”.

Market potential
The market potential in Russia is huge and the future looks bright. Delacon CEE Division Director Mirek Simerda knows: “Russia is a sleeping agricultural giant. This enormous country still imports a big part of its meat consumption, and the Russian government plans to be self-sufficient in meat production within a few years”.

The new office is conveniently located within the centre of Moscow. At the opening ceremony, which took place on May 15 at the premises, a number of guests from the industry have joined, including representatives of distributors, feed mill and premix manufacturers as well as senior faculty members of Russian Universities.

Right moment
Russia Manager Emil Marecek is eager to start the activities: “The solutions of Delacon have come at the right time to the Russian market. We experience a lot of changes, and local producers are looking for innovative technologies to improve their performance and ensure food and feed safety.”

Delacon is one of the leading manufacturers of Phytogenic Feed Additives for farm animals. The family-owned company is based in Austria and currently operates own subsidiary companies in Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, United States, China and Russia and has established Regional Offices in France and Malaysia which oversee a distributors network spread out over 30 countries worldwide.
