Diamond V awards scholarships to Future Farmers of America graduates

Two scholarships have been awarded to graduating Iowa high school members of the Future Farmers of America (FFA) by Diamond V, supplier of fermentation-based feed additives used to optimize digestive function and nutrition key to animal and aqua health.

The scholarships are administered through the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation in conjunction with the national FFA.
Melissa Kroksh of Akron, IA, who will be studying animal science at Iowa State University, Ames, IA, and Rachel Pugh of Ft. Dodge, IA, who will be studying animal science at Kirkwood Community College, Cedar Rapids, IA, each received a one-year $1,000 scholarship. The Diamond V scholarships are awarded based on a combination of FFA involvement, work experience, supervised agricultural experience, community service, leadership skills and academics.
The Diamond V scholarships help encourage the pursuit of animal science degrees among high school seniors.
