The 2014 edition of EuroTier in Hanover, Germany, has attracted a final count of 2,360 exhibitors.
This number is slightly less than the record amount of 2,428 achieved in 2012 – but this is due to the fact that this edition does not have a World Poultry Show.
The drop in the number of exhibiting parties was relatively low, Dr Reinhard Grandke, CEO of the German Agricultural Society (DLG) explained, because of a good attendance from abroad. In 2014, 1,147 companies from in total 49 countries outside Germany are represented in the biannual animal husbandry show.
This means that almost half of the exhibitors caome from abroad, as the total number of German exhibitors at this edition is 1,213.
Most prominent foreign countries are the Netherlands (186 exhibitors), France (136), China (116), Italy (94), and Denmark (77).
In total, the gross occupied exhibition area is 241,070 m2.
The World Poultry Show will be present once more in the 2016 edition. The 2014 show lasts until Friday, November 14.
