EvaPig®: new tool to calculate pig nutrition values

18-03-2009 | |

Inra, AFZ and Ajinomotyo Eurolysine have developed a new software tool named EvaPig®. The tool is a calculator of nutritional values of ingredients and diets for pigs and sows.

It includes the chemical composition and nutritive values for the pig of about 100 reference ingredients, mostly derived from the INRA-AFZ Tables.

The user can create new ingredients either by copying and modifying the reference ingredients, or by using its own data. He can also create complete diets either by mixing ingredients or by providing a chemical composition. Specific and generic equations will calculate energy, amino acid and phosphorus values.

The software can be now downloaded for free on www.evapig.com
