Experts speak at EuroTier dairy event

Modern dairy cattle housing and its effect on welfare, performance, animal health and behaviour is the theme presented to some 250 international dairy farming experts at the EuroTier Dairy Event on 10 November.

The event is held on the eve of the EuroTier exhibition
with main speaker Marina von Keyeserlingk, University of British Columbia
addressing the welfare theme. Also speaking at the evening event in the Hanover
Exhibition Grounds Convention Center is Jean Francois Verdenal from Igney,
France, President of the European Dairy Farmers (EDF). The EuroTier Dairy Event
is organised by the EDF and DLG.

The evening programme will culminate in
the EuroTier Dairy Farmer 2008 awards con-ferred on dairy farmers who have
achieved outstanding results with a top prize of 2500 Euros.
