Fast quantitative aflatoxin test approved

Charm Sciences, Inc. has received approval from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Grain Inspection, Packers and Stockyards Administration (GIPSA) on a 3 minute quantitative detection of aflatoxin in corn, the fastest quantitative kit for official testing in the national grain inspection system.

Charm Sciences continues to set the standard in speed,
simplicity and sensitivity via the ROSA® platform (Rapid One Step Assay). The ROSA
Fast AFQ

represents breakthrough advancement in mycotoxin detection by
delivering the only 3 minute quantitative test for aflatoxin in a convenient,
one-step strip assay. Just add the sample extract to the Fast AFQ test strip,
incubate, and insert strip in the ROSA-M reader for ppb results.

ROSA
Aflatoxin companion tests are also approved at qualitative 10 and 20 ppb
thresholds in corn and for quantitative detection in corn flour, corn germ meal,
corn gluten meal, corn meal, corn screenings, corn soy blend, cracked corn,
distillers dried grains, flaking corn grits, milled rice, popcorn, rough rice,
sorghum, soybeans, wheat, rye, oats, and distillers dried grains with solubles.

ROSA Fast AFQ is the eighth ROSA mycotoxin test to receive a certificate
of conformance from USDA GIPSA. All ROSA mycotoxin tests can be run on the same
equipment, follow a similar assay format, and are uniquely packaged to ensure
the test strip only comes in contact with the sample.
