Japan’s Higashimaru Joint Stock Co. on February 23 inaugurated a mill to produce fish and shrimp feed in the Mekong Delta province of Tien Giang, Vietnam.
The mill, which was built at a cost of US$4 million in the Tan Huong
Industrial Zone, is expected to annually turn out between 10,000 and 15,000
tonnes of products under the Sakura trademark.
The mill’s capacity will
be raised to 50,000 tonnes after the second phase, estimated to cost an
additional US$6 million, is completed.
The Higashimaru Joint Stock
Company, one of Japan’s leading feed producers, is the first Japanese enterprise
to invest in Tien Giang province.
