MBM ban cuts protein gap in compound feed

The European Commission has extended the ban on the use of meat and bone meal in compound feed for an unlimited period. Alternatives are available, but the rather limited protein composition of vegetable substitutes restricts optimum formulation. This article provides a first move in the discussion on the subject, which can be continued at VIV and Victam later this year.
