New edition of Feed Tech out now

The April issue of Feed Tech (number 3) has just been published. Feed Tech is the leading international magazine on feed production and applied nutrition.

In this issue, Galen J Rokey from Wenger Manufacturing explains the benefits
of pellet-cooker-processed pig starter feeds. This product range called Air
Line® has an average of 10-15% lower bulk density than conventional pelleted
products.

Stefan Tordenmalm
from Perten delves into NIR usage. Although
NIR has been used for over 30 years already, he explains the benefits of using
new diode array based instruments, which is cheaper and better.

Feed Tech editor Dick Ziggers
talked to Eddy Ketels, chief executive officer at Orffa
about the company’s aim to outsourcing and partnering its business.

In the regional focus section of
the magazine we take a glimpse at Charoen Pokphand

in Cambodia. This new division of CP plans to expand both feed and animal
production in anticipation of greater economic growth in the country. Philippe
Caldier went to the AgriHort exhibition in Kiev, Ukraine and reports its
findings from this blooming country.

Dr. Jules Taylor-Pickard from Alltech
explains how mycotoxins in feed can be managed. In this article she
names seven points for effective mycotoxin control.

Gavin Raper
from Pancosma
delves into the application of plant extracts in animal feed. The
company has carried out a survey among 94 feed manufacturers in 13 countries,
seven in the EU and six non-EU to assess the use of plant extracts after the AGP
ban in 2006. In addition, a group of plant extracts has been reviewed to prove
their efficacy.

Feed Mix editor Emmy Koeleman visited the Victam Asia in
Bangkok and reports on the current issues in aqua feed ingredients and
processing.
