NGFA elects industry leaders to Board and Executive Committee

Members of the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA) in the US elected 18 industry leaders to serve on its Board of Directors during the organization’s 116th annual convention in March.

Established in 1896, the NGFA consists of more than 1,000-member companies from all sectors of the grain elevator, feed and feed ingredient, integrated livestock and poultry, grain processing, biofuels and exporting business that operate about 7,000 facilities nationwide and handle more than 70% of all US grains and oilseeds.
 
Elected to three-year terms on the NGFA Board of Directors were: 
  • Erik Anderson, Louis Dreyfus Commodities, Wilton, Connrcticut;
  • David Baudler, Cargill Ag Horizons, Minneapolis, Minnesota;
  • Joann Brouillette, Demeter, Fowler, Indiana;
  • Joe Christopher, Crossroads Co-op, Sidney, Nebraska;
  • Irvin Clubine, United Farmers Co-op, George, Iowa;
  • Charles Colbert, Zen-noh Grain Corp., Mandeville, Lousiana;
  • Tom Coyle, Nidera US, Chicago, Illinois;
  • Larry Hammond, TruPointe Cooperative, Piqua, Ohio;
  • Chuck Heuring, Penny Newman Grain Co., Fresno, California.
Also elected to three-year terms on the NGFA Board were: 
  • Robert Jones, ABN AMRO Clearing Chicago, Chicago, Illinois;
  • Bill Krueger, Lansing Trade Group, Overland Park, Kansas;
  • Art Loeffler, Star of the West Milling, Frankenmuth, Michigan;
  • Dan Mack, CHS, St. Paul, Minnesota;
  • Joe Taets, Agricultural Services BU ADM, Decatur, Illinois;
  • Will Waters, Harris-Crane, Charlotte, North Carolina; and
  • Don Woodburn, Ag Processing, Omaha, Nebraska.
Members of the NGFA’s Board of Directors subsequently elected 13 of its members to serve on the 18-member NGFA Executive Committee. They are:

  • John Heck, The Scoular Co., Omaha, Nebraska;
  • Roger Krueger, SD Wheat Growers Association, Aberdeen, South Dakota;
  • Steven Nail, Farmers Grain Terminal, Greenville, Mississippi;
  • Benjamin Smith, Attebury Grain, Amarillo, Texas;
  • Joe Taets, Agricultural Services Business Unit, ADM, Decatur, Illinois; and
  • Eric Wilkey, Arizona Grain Inc., Casa Grande, Arizona.
In addition, serving on the NGFA’s Executive Committee by virtue of their office are: 
  • NGFA Chairman David Hoogmoed, Land O’Lakes Inc., Arden Hills, Minnesota.; 
  • First Vice Chairman Bailey Ragan, Bunge North America, St. Louis, Missouri.;
  • Second Vice Chairman Gary Beachner, Beachner Grain Inc., Parsons, Kansas.;
  • Immediate Past Chairman Hal Reed, The Andersons, Maumee, Ohio, (who now serves as chairman of NGFA’s Executive Committee); and
  • NGFA Acting President Randy Gordon, Washington D.C.
The NGFA also consists of 26 affiliated state and regional grain and feed associations, as well as two international affiliated associations. It has strategic alliances with the North American Export Grain Association and Pet Food Institute.
