No flood damage at Alimet facility (Novus)

Novus International Inc. announced today that they sustained no flood damage at their Alimet production facility as a result of tidal surges and rain from Hurricane Ike.

A large portion of the Texas Gulf Region is
experiencing electricity outages due to storm damage, complete restart of the
facility will be contingent on the restoration of this utility infrastructure.
Novus personnel were evacuated prior to landfall of the storm and there were no
injuries.

“Our initial and primary concern was to ensure the safety of
employees and their families,” stated Thad Simons, President and CEO, Novus
International Inc. “We will now focus our diligence on a fast and complete
return to operation. Our thoughts are with those who have suffered significant
damage as a result of this storm.”

“Novus Alimet product inventory is
distributed throughout the world and was not impacted by the storm. We are
committed to doing all that we can to support our customers”, stated Giovanni
Gasperoni, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Novus International,
Inc.

Some Novus business partners have experienced varying degrees of
storm related damage. Novus personnel are currently working with these partner
organizations to assess this damage and to aid in their return to full capacity
operation, which will allow Novus to return to normal
operation.
