19-10-2009 | |

Nutreco has completed the sale of its majority shareholding in Integra, Czech Republic, to Netherlands based breeding company Hendrix Genetics. Hendrix Genetics owned already 34% in Integra.

Integra is a layer pullet and hatchery business and was part of Nutreco’s subsidiary Trouw Nutrition Biofaktory, the premix and specialty feed company acquired in the Czech Republic in 2008.

Integra was founded in 1990 by the late Stanilav Jerabek, and is the preferred partner of the egg industry in the Czech Republic and the region for almost 20 years and produces ISA, Bovans and Hisex commercial layers for intensive and alternative production.

It has 80 employees and owns 2 hatcheries, in Zabcice and Osek, and the related parent stock and rearing farms, with total annual capacity of ca. 12 million layer day old chicks.
