Pakistan to import 300,000t wheat
Pakistan, the world’s sixth-biggest wheat consumer, plans to import 300,000 metric tons of the grain by March to build state reserves and stem an increase in prices.
The nation has asked grain suppliers including Cargill Inc, Glencore
International AG and the Canadian Wheat Board to supply the quantities, Abdul
Malik, chairman of the Karachi-based, state-run Trading Corp., said in an
interview in Dubai today.
