Connolly received news of the accolade recently and said that “This appointment is a great source of pride for me. Through it, I will get the opportunity to share what lessons I have learned in the professional world with the industry leaders of tomorrow at UCD School of Business.
“Alltech, UCD and I share the ambition to endow future generations with the practical ability and intellectual insight needed to drive innovation and improve the quality of life of all.”
Prof. Tom Begley, Dean, UCD School of Business congratulated Aidan, saying, “Aidan has been a consistent collaborator with the School for more than ten years. His international reputation in marketing and agribusiness make him a worthy recipient of this appointment.
“Aidan’s expertise will enhance the experience of students and faculty at the School and we are looking forward to working more deeply with him and Alltech over the next five years”.
Connolly’s association with UCD began with his undergraduate studies there and his ties to the University have been cemented over the years by collaborations such as executive education courses and the formation of a mini-MBA programme for Alltech employees – a format now adopted and used by a number of other leading global companies.
