People: US Grains Council appoints new regional director

The US Grains Council is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Roepke to USGC regional director of South and Southeast Asia, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Roepke has served as the Council’s director of trade development in the China office since January. “During his short time in China, Kevin has proven himself to be an extremely valuable member of our international staff,” said USGC President and CEO Tom Sleight.

As regional director of South and Southeast Asia, Roepke will identify and address all relevant trade, technical and policy factors relevant to building and maintaining the market for US coarse grains and co-products.

He is replacing Adel Yusupov, who recently accepted a position with International Feed based in the US. Roepke will be transitioning into his new role during the next few months before relocating to Kuala Lumpur in September.

Roepke joined the Council in 2011 as the manager of international operations for marketing . Prior to the Council, he served in various trading and merchandising positions with Archer Daniels Midland.
