Pigs and feed stolen from Scottish farm

01-05-2012 | |

Police are investigating after dozens of pigs and tonnes of feed were stolen from a Highland farm in Scotland owned by one of the world’s biggest meat production companies.

It is thought that 42 animals, each valued at £60 (€73) were taken from the Novar Dairy near Evanton and three tonnes of pig feed were also stolen from the Ross-shire farm.

The alarm was raised by an employee at the beginning of April, but it is thought they were carried out throughout March. Police in Alness are now appealing for information about the thefts.
