Specialist Norfolk animal feed manufacturer Allen & Page has been granted a royal warrant by the Prince of Wales. It is the first animal feed manufacturer to gain Vegetarian Society approval for the entire range, the independent and family-owned business has been producing horse feeds since 1936.
The royal warrant can be awarded to a company, which has supplied a royal household for about five years or more. Allen & Page, which has produced animal feeds for more than 70 years, only use non-GM raw materials.
Ben Page, managing director, said: “This is a tremendous honour, warrants are only granted from the Prince of Wales to companies which meet the very highest environmental standards and are all assessed personally by the Prince himself. I am delighted that we have been granted the title of ‘Producers and suppliers of organic and non-GM feeds’ which spans our whole feed range,” he said.
Prince Charles has used the Allen & Page range of feeds for many years because they provide environmental assurances and the highest quality ingredients for their innovative products. Allen & Page uphold environmental concerns from within the heart of the company, from overall strategy to the day-to-day running of the business. It monitors energy use, composts waste and prints on recycled paper.
