The Lagos State commissioner Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, has stated that the government and the World Bank plan to support excisting and new agriculture projects in Lagos State.
He stated that this initiative not only benefits the small and medium holder
farmers, but also agri-business entrepreneurs, input suppliers, processors,
traders/market associations, aquaculture estates and micro-financial
institutions will be supported.
The companies: Mile 12 market, Oyingbo
market, Alaba Rago Cereals market, Ketu Perishable Food market and Tejuosho
market, will be provided with facilities such as fish pond construction, water
recycling facility, fish feed production, loading and off-loading ramp, storage
facilities, car park and other infrastructure related items.
